Behavioral Focus seeks to deliver the most effective services based upon the principles and application of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis for all our community of learners.
We believe in the power of knowledge and in the science behind all applications of ABA that we utilize.
We are driven to share this knowledge to make a significant positive difference in the lives of our clients, families, consumers, and all key stakeholders
We strive to bring an accurate awareness of ABA to the communities we serve by disseminating accurate information, implementing evidence-based practices (EBP), conducting effective and enjoyable trainings, consulting in a collaborative manner, and most importantly implementing the highest level of effective services to all our clients and families.
Our treatment packages are based on the BACB® ethics codes, current 5th edition task list and The Council for Autism Service Providers Practice Guidelines for ABA treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder
We utilize a tiered service-delivery model in which a BCBA in excellent standing with the BACB® designs and supervises every treatment program.
The effectiveness of this service delivery model has been documented in peer-reviewed literature and has several advantages including:
Programming for in-home services includes experienced staff coming into the home or community setting to provide needed services.
Focused programming is offered during the year to teach fundamentals of social development in a motivating and encouraging format.
Parent education and support groups are offered to develop and generalize the skills learned in sessions back to the home and community environment.
Our EIBI services focuses on toddler and preschool age children to increase communication, social, and adaptive daily living behaviors.
School-Based Behavior and Community Consultation focuses on skill development & challenging behavior reduction.
This is accomplished by working in collaboration with all key stakeholders to establish, maintain, and teach these skills.
"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn"
~ Benjamin Franklin
In all trainings and consultations we strive to work in collaboration with our clients and present principles and strategies in an innovative, interactive format where trainees are able to leave and utilize what they've learned the next day.
Remote and in-person supervision services are offered through Behavioral Focus.
Supervision is conducted in 1:1 and group formats and maintains an intensive, thorough training schedule to ensure that all BACB® requirements are completed with mastery.
